Forget about playing it safe

Millionaires don't become rich by playing it safe. They take risks - but there's a big difference between being a risk-taker and being risky.
Here's what I mean:
- Diversification is safe
- Managed funds are safe
- Term deposits are safe
All of that stuff might make you comfortable. It might even make you feel that you're on the right track. But what a loooong track that's going to be!
No no no, this blog is for those who want to make millions - and I mean MILLIONS - quickly (and ethically). And playing it safe is not the way to go.
What do you think? Is taking the safe route actually really "safe" - when in the long run it might make you worse off? What risks (note, I said risks, not gambles) have you taken that have really paid off?
